Changes of Kevin Cheng in just 3 days!

Kevin Cheng these days, is surrounded by controversies with his legal battle with former music manager, Dai Si Chung. Poor Kevin! The battle must have gotten to him real badly. Just look at the way he changed!

Day 1 (March 28, 2006)

Kevin sighs with grief, on his legal battles. Look how worried he is! Looks like he lost a lot of weight, too! So unlike the optimistic person I saw in Under the Canopy of Love!
Day 2 (March 29, 2006)

Appeared at modeling contest and served as a judge with fellow colleague, Niki Chow. He does look to very happy and not disturbed by the whole contract issue. Have to give Kevin credit! Great job at hiding his inner feelings!

Day 3 (March 30, 2006)

Dai Si Chung dropped all charges against Kevin. Instead of feeling happy or relieved that all is now behind him, Kevin seems....old?! Very different from his other pictures published online during the battle. Why look so down?! Of course, I don't know when the pictures were taken, or if it's truly is him or not. I'm just going with when the pictures where posted online, so it may be in the wrong order. I don't know, but I do know that this whole issue has taken a major blow on Kevin's image.

Song of the Day

In a tribute to Leslie Cheung's passing a couple years ago, I have decided to upload one of his songs for all to share. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Roger Kwok reveals his chest for "Pearls of the Orient"

Roger Kwok was seen just the other day at TVB city, filming for his newest TVB series, “Pearls of the Orient” (東方之珠). At the dressing room while changing into his costume, it turns out that the neckline of Roger's shirt was exceptionally low, revealing a big portion of his chest! Roger jokingly said, “It;s baring the back and then the front for everyone to see!” He later explained that in the series, the shirts is suppose to be real low at the neckline, revealing his chest, but Roger’s okay with it, since he tends to get sweaty during filming. The reporter asked Roger if he’ll be okay, wearing the shirt and not catching a cold. Roger said, “I’m not worried! I’m more worry that people are going to take pictures of me! Besides I have my “hair” to keep me warm!” You think the hair looks good? “It just depends on the person.” Do you think the display of your chest will affect Ah Jie when you film with her? “Of course not! Nothing can affect Ah Jie!”

Niki Chow shows off her athletic skills

Niki Chow has become the ambassador of a sports clothing brand. The other day, upon arriving at the district shop, Niki saw some guys taking a break from playing basketball and soccer. Seeing it as an opportunity, Niki started to play, displaying her athletic skills and winning the approval of the players; saying how great she was at it!

Niki later explained that she has always had a passion toward sports, especially in basketball and soccer. Even when she attended school, Niki was on the school’s basketball team, and representing the school at tournaments. Niki claims that she has never competed with male players before, so it was a new experience for her. When she was little, Niki used to play soccer with her older brother, but will never play around the house; just in case of breaking any things inside the household.

The other day, Niki escaped from having to wear a bikini for everyone to see. Will you be scared that the paparazzi will follow you and secretly take your picture? “Nah…If the paparazzi see me in a bikini, they’ll turn around and run away!”

Roger Kwok cooks Birds' Nest Soup

Sourse: The Sun
Translations: Sidney

Earlier, Roger Kwok was filming a new healthy food advertisement. Roger was dressed as a dessert chef, cooking up different delicacies and entertaining the crowd. The audience was seen with big smiles on their faces, and even claims that his cooking was pretty good!

This year will be Roger’s 9th year as the ambassador for the healthy food brand, but his first time dress as a chef and cooking for them. For the ad, Roger was needed to cook birds’ nest soup dessert. Roger claimed that, “I always like to eat dessert, especially birds’ nest soup; since they’re so nutritious, but so expensive!” Since he’s always so busy with work, Roger just doesn’t have the time to cook any for him, so he uses pre-package/ready-to-eat birds’ nest as a replacement whenever he wants some.

A Special Thank You

Today is my 4th day that my blog has been open up to the public. I'm really surprise it even lasted this long! lol...Like I said in my first entry, I have no clue in anything I was doing to it! I didn't know how to post, my images aren't that great, my translations are horrible! etc. etc. But I have a very good friend of mine that helps me out a whole lot, since I started and is always there whenever I needed her. I call her the "Bill Gates" online, since she knows so much; whether in graphics or layouts, templates, and all those other online used terms. For that, I like to dedicate this post to her, in telling her how much I appreciates and be forever grateful of her helping me. My good friend and yours, Toomanysidesofme!

Accidents Occur Constantly on set of "Do Cheung Fung Wan"

Source: The Sun & Oriental
Translated by: Sidney

So far, in TVB's newest series, Do Cheung Fung Wan (賭場風雲), has started filming without having a prayer ceremony. The two lead artists, Jessica Hsuan & Bobby Au Yeung, has been plagued by continuous disasters during filming. Just the other day during filming, Jessica was filming a running scene and accidently trips and falls down! Guess its really hard for them not to believe in superstition!

The other day Jessica Hsuan and Bobby Au Yeung were filming for their new series "Do Cheung Fung Wan." The scene calls for a cart-racing running scene, but during filming, Jessica was seen to have a hard time catching her breath. To make it worse, Jessica tripped over the groceries, falling on the street, causing her right knee to be bruised and swollen. Jessica and Bobby later explained that the reasons so many bad lucks are occurring could be due to them not have had a prayer ceremony yet. Having it hard for them to not believe in superstition! Jessica also tried to explained that her character is very lively, always in constant motion, so it's very easy to cause minor accidents when filming. "Life is always full of small little incidents, but everyday having little bruises here and there, really is too many!" When asked if it was because a prayer ceremony hasn't been done, causing so many accidents to occur, Jessica replied, "Of course! The ceremony is just a way that helps bring peace/relieve to our hearts, knowing that everything/everyone is going to be safe."

Bobby was hurt earlier when accidently crashing into some camera equipments, leaving his knee to be bruised and swollen, too. Bobby just smiled and jokingly said "See! This is what you get for not having a prayer ceremony! No...The prayer ceremony is just to help bring relieve to our hearts that all will go well during filming."

Next Magazine TV Award...Winners?

I saw that lots of people are really shocked by this year's 2006 Next Magazine TV Award winners list. I am, too! For one, I'm mostly shocked that lots of my favorite artists are on the list! Yay!! Next, Angela Tong, first time on the list and as the #1 artist! Wow! A major shocker! Beating out my favorite artist, Jessica Hsuan, leaving her the #2 spot! I didn't really found Angela's win that shocking, since we can just look at all she has got since Life Made Simple aired last November! Winning the Best Supporting Actress award, having her own TV show, gaining more appearances at function, commercials, etc. How long will her "Lei Siu Ho" character's fame last? hmm...I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Here are the awesome pictures of the Next Magazine TV Award winners. It's great! Much better than this year's TVB calendar pics. lol...guess TVB will have to learn from them! Enjoy!

1.) Angela Tong

That's a very seductive picture of Angela. Fits her old characters she used to portray perfectly. Maybe she's going back to her old way (shrugs) I don't know. But photographers, I think Angela needs some help in getting up!

2.) Jessica Hsuan

Wow! What can I possibly say about Jessica! She's perfect! So elegant, so high class, so sophisticated! Perfect!

3.) Bosco Wong

Bosco seems very relax in the pic. Nothing much I can really say, but great job for making into the top 3! A definite shocker. Okay, now cover up! No need to show your...

4.) Roger Kwok

lol...Roger is so goofy in the pic. =) The funny hairstyle makes it even better! Definitely the worst hairstyle he has, maybe even worse than his "bowl cut" hair from LMS!

5.) Liza Wang

Definitely fits Liza's arrogant personality. All royalty and better than the rest. I guess like Angela, her "sassy" Mother-in-Law character has not run out of its luck either!

6.) Kenix Kwok

Great picture of Kenix. She doesn't seem to be as skinny as she usually seen. Love it! But is she trying out for Survivor?

7.) Myolie Wu

Ehh...I guess Myolie was trying to be seductive in this pic. I don't see it. The only thing I can think of is that she better get out fast, before she runs out of air!

8.) Bernice Liu

Always the seductive artist without trying to be, Bernice looks great! She has a great figure! (sigh) If I could only look like that! lol...in a million years! Is Bernice wanting a part in The Biter Bitten? Looks like she's testing the trapeze bar!

9.) Charmaine Sheh

Very sexy of Charmaine! Again, like Kenix, she doesn't seem to be as skinny as she always seem to be. Much younger, too! Love it! But do you need some help with the dress?

10.) Moses Chan

Poor Moses! He looks like he's in pure torture! What is that woman doing to him? Wait...don't answer that! I don't want to know! =/

LJ Fever Again: Seeing Double

I was talking to a good friend of mine yesterday, and she's running a high fever, a LJ high fever. For those who does not know what LJ stands for (but I'm pretty sure most do), it stands for Louis and Jessica. One of the greatest on-screen couples ever! Too bad Louis has not starred in any TVB series since A Step Into the Past. =( Anyway, she got me thinking of LJ once again and the good old times. I was just surfing the net when I found this pic:

I was shocked and surprised! I thought they were Louis and Jessica! (sigh) But I was wrong. No such luck for me. They are actually 2R and Race filming for a movie or a MV or something. I kinda lost interest, and didn't continue reading on. Why did I think they are Jessica and Louis? I have no idea! I just remember seeing a pic, very much like that one; Jessica, with her long, straight black hair, and Louis, with his shaggy-type hairdo, but it was for a preview for an upcoming series. I would post up the pic, but I'm having a hard time finding it. Oh well, until I do, here's a real pic of Jessica and Louis together!

Song of the Day

Many people have different stuff to upload each day: favorite quote, favorite game, news update, etc. Mine will be favorite song of the day! I'm a huge fan of oldies in canto-pop music. Here's a classic song from Vivian Chow that I love! Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

Also, to make it TVB related, I'm posting my current favorite TVB themesong: The Biter Bitten! I really have no clue why people don't like it! Maybe a couple more times of it, you will love it as much I do, too! hehe... Enjoy!

When will the Era start?

It has come to my attention that it’s been quite some time since TVB made a grand production series. I don’t mean series, like War and Beauty or Revolving Doors of Vengeance, or even Square Pegs/Life Made Simple. I want a grand-grand production, like they used to in the 1990s, focusing on business, family, fate, love, everything! TVB is known to have a great cast, a great storyline, a great genre, and great expectations for all its new series. Where did it all go? Here’s a highlight of a few grand-productions that was a huge hit:

The Greed of Man

TGOM
Production: 1992
Cast: Adam Cheung, Damian Lau, Sean Lau, Vivian Chow, Amy Kwok, Michael Tao, Yammie Lam, Bowie Lam

A wonderful, wonderful, tragic, but very interesting series. The whole stock market effect was the coolest thing ever! Even until today, the stock market is still affected every time one of Adam Cheung’s series is aired. Not many TVB series in history can ever affect the economy like this series can! A great genre, a great, if not twisted, storyline, with an amazing cast! How else to say, the start of the 1990s with this epic TVB series of greed, love, revenge, life, turmoil, all in one!

Cold Blood Warm Heart

CBWH
Production: 1995-1996
Cast: Gallen Lo, Julian Cheung, Adam Cheung, Christine Ng, Nnadia Chan, Jessica Hsuan, Louis Koo, Maggie Cheung, Astrid Chan

TVB’s strongest, finest, fittest, the new generation (of that time), extraordinary casts all in here, 天地男兒. Even the title, Cold Blood Warm Heart, is the coolest ever! This series focus about a family owned bank and how lots of people are willing to do the unthinkable to get their hands on it. With its twist & turn of betrayal and hatred, families & life-long friends, lost & gain of love, and the thirst of power, it brings forth unforgettable acting, unforgettable chemistry, unforgettable storyline, and most important of all, unforgettable of love for every single cast member in this series. A definite must see if haven’t!

Secret of the Heart

SOH
Production: 1997-1998
Cast: Gallen Lo, Michael Wong, Sunny Chan, Amy Kwok, Kathy Chow, Jessica Hsuan, Ada Choi, Nick Cheung

One of the most spectacular groups of artists combined to make this series. Lasting over 60 episodes (don’t see that in any of TVB’s newest series), it has become one of TVB’s most controversial series ever! Lots of questions are left unanswered and kept the audience guessing (e.g. Did Diana die?) We don't see that now, in today's endings. Dramatic, but satisfying. Sad but so sweet. Wrong, but so right. (sigh) I miss that!

At the Threshold of an Era I & II

ATE 1&2
Production: 1999-2000
Cast: Gallen Lo, Louis Koo, Roger Kwok, Sunny Chan, Kenix Kwok, Flora Chan, Ada Choi, Maggie Siu, Lisa Wang

Ending the century with a strong class of artists, in the battle and journey of rising up to the top from the bottom up in the business world. Despite the fact of lots of betrayal, and the how people are willing to sacrifice all for what they desire, this is a great! Love everyone! Can't be a better way to end the 20th century and to start the 21st with ATE!

A full decade of amazing business series, that has lots of family, fate, love, everything! Where has it all gone?!! At the Threshold of an Era is supposed to be the beginning of the Era! So far, I haven't seen anything that's been produced that could compare to these. I'm so disappointed! Michael Miu has stated that he'll start on a 60+ episodes series later in the year, and I'm psych about it! Maybe the Era has finally come! hmm...We'll just have to wait and see!

Starting a Blog: A good thing or a bad thing?

I don't know if starting a blog will be a good thing or a bad thing for me to do. I have no clue whatsoever in any blogging experience, I'm not creative, and I don't have much to say, most of the time. I guess that explains the "bad" part of why I don't have a blog. lol... As for the good reasons, I only have one, and that is I'm a diehard TVB fan. I'm not big as TVBsquare or as creative as TVBGeneration and Toomanysidesofme's blog, but I just like to express what I think, without having to care what others will think of me. So enjoy my first and only blog, and I'll see what I can do for you guys! Thanks for visiting!
