Criticisms on "All about Women" concert

I have just watched a clip of TVB Scoop's coverage of All about Women concert. Sad to say, after hearing a mere 3 mins of the concert, I was disappointed, irate, and had something to laugh about. Here's a link of the Scoop's coverage:

First off, let's talk about the staging of the concert. Why is the stage so small? And the room so crowded! Easy answer to those: there were lots of fans present making the room look crowded and the stage seems small. (rolls eyes) sure....



As MetalAZNWarrior said on his blog, the performers were divided up between the ugly (left) on one side and the pretty (right) on the other. That's pretty accurate. But that's for the poster. At the concert, once again history repeats itself. This time it's the best dress (right) on one side and the worst dress (left) on the other. Even with my poor sense of fashion! (sigh) Will they ever learn....

Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅)

Like I said yesterday, Miriam was dubbed as the leader, so not only does she need to perform well, sing well, dance well, but dress well, too! What is up with her...jumpsuit? Is she trying to impersonate Elvis? Or is the concert just a warm-up for her jog after the show?

Pic 3: Must be stretching a note too high or she's plain out of breath. Look how she shriveled up!

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼)

(sigh) After so many years in the entertainment industry and so many shows and so many performances and so many opportunities to perform live, why does Charmaine still sound so...bad when singing live? (hides from Charmaine fans) Seriously! Her song, 黃沙中的戀人 (Yellow Sand Lover) was only okay when heard it recorded, but live? (hides again) You get my point. =/ Her duet with Alex Fong and Justin Lo just so happens to be the same song that Bosco, Bernice, and Ron sang at Ron's mini-concert a while back. Compared between the 2, Charmaine's group butchered the song (in my opinion).




Bernice Liu (廖碧兒)

Thought she might have learn from past experience about exposing too much while dancing. First time: @ Feb. 15th's JSG weekly show. Her outfit was about the same as at the concert. Her dance was about the same. Same same in almost everything.





Vivien Yeo (楊秀惠)

I was actually impressive with Vivien yesterday for being able to sing and play the keyboard at the same time. Which I still am. But after hearing her sing Ron Ng's "Don't Blame Her," I was a little...ehh...about her singing abilities. (shudders)




Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), and Sharon Chan (陳敏之)

Linda looks very nice onstage, but didn't catch her singing that much. Best dress? Yes. Best vocal? umm...have to answer that later.Needs to loosen up a bit; a little stiff on the performance. I'm still surprised that Sharon is actually picked to be part of the cd. Her singing that night?...okay la...but too be on the safe side, might as well take the job as MC. Her talking, by far, seems better than her singing.




Myolie Wu (胡杏兒)

I actually can't think of a fault with Myolie. Her singing really isn't that bad, maybe a little help on the high notes, but overall, not bad. Her outfit looks nice, too. It's pretty obvious to see that Myolie gained some weight, yet it just enhances her beauty. I may be more of a Myolie fan than I thought I was. hmm....scary.




Kary Ng (吳雨霏) & Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣)

2 of the worse dressers of the night. Funny how they sang the sub-theme to Love Bond as a duet. Did they do better than the original? No. Did they make it worse? Kinda. Did I enjoy watching the 5 secs I saw? Yes. What! I was shocked and it was funny. lol...I don't know why. (shrugs) I guess as the saying goes: If you can't beat them (which they can't), join them (by singing their songs)!
